Elderberry 'Bob Gordon' - Sambucus canadensis

Elderberry 'Bob Gordon' - Sambucus canadensis

$12.00

This beautiful elderberry varietal produces large, fragrant clusters of white flowers in spring when grown in ample sun and moist, rich soil. Blooms will develop into dark purple berries from late summer into fall. Bob Gordon is especially known for its heavy yields and large berries compared to other varieties. Prized for their sweetness, Bob Gordon elderberries offer a world of culinary possibilities, from jams and wines to syrups. The flowers, berries, bark, and roots have all been traditionally called upon to support the body through colds, flu, fevers, and sinus ailments. Growing up to 12 feet tall, it will readily regrow new fruiting canes if cut back to the ground in winter. Space plants 6–10 feet apart to allow for full growth, healthy production, and harvest access. Thanks, Bob!

Comes in a 4×6 inch tree pot.
