Natures tranquilizer, as it is known, is used to treat anxiety, insomnia and relieves muscle tension. Flowers 5-6 ft tall in the second year. The blooms are heavenly honey scented, as opposed to the potent and stinky roots that can be harvested in it’s 3rd year of growth. The whole plant is sedating but constituents are most dense in the roots. Prefers moist fertile soil. Space plants 1-2 ft apart.
