Endlessly helpful, self-heal also goes by a few other names: heal-all, heart-of-the-earth and wound-wort. As one might assume from its monikers, self-heal is often called upon to help with a whole host of ailments from sore throats to digestive support and wound care. Blooms with a whirling spiral of small purple flowers are dotted through its foliage, a lovely and welcome spring sight.
