Mullein- Verbascum thapsus

Mullein- Verbascum thapsus

Mullein is a biennial, growing a large basal rosette the first year and sending up a strikingly long flower stalk in the second year. Can reach up to 7’ tall and the leaves as long as 2’. Plants should be spaced 2’-3’ apart. Mullein is drought tolerant and super easy to grow. The leaves, used as tea or tincture are an excellent lung tonic. The sweet yellow flowers are a wonderful remedy for ear infections when infused in oil.
